Our World: Revenge

December 25, 2006

I stared intently into the frightened eyes that stared in reply. My chest was heaving from the vigorous fight and sweat dripped from my hot forehead as I held a stern face. I glared at my victim with pride held within me. I held out my long sword, just rubbing against the Qurk’s neck. He was cowering on the floor before me, backing away from me slowly with his arms behind him. As I studied his face intensely, his eyes spoke of the fear that was held within him. I would recognize his face anywhere. He was the one. I held my stance above the alien as I regained my breath.

I wanted to make this moment last. This revenge was to be sweet.

Standing before the Qurk that I had been tracking for the past two years, memories began to return to me. Memories…that I had hoped would never return.

Check Up: December 24, 2006

December 24, 2006

This week from December 17 to December 23, 2006, I am ashamed of myself. I have not posted much on Magic Pens, which I will try to change this following week. On Magic Pens I wrote 2,161 words and off I wrote 2,361 words. This all comes to a grand total of 4,522 words. For reading, I read three chapters of The Little White Horse written by Elizabeth Goudge. This was a mere 78 pages. As I said before, I shall post more frequently this upcoming week. I also plan on reading and commenting on a lot of people’s posts since I have been elected vice President. Thank you for all who voted for me!

Eragon Dilemma

December 19, 2006

As I have previously mentioned, I have an Eragon problem. Two people who are not Magic Pens members have told me that the prologue in my main story, The Horse From the Woods is just like Eragon. I have seen the movie, yet I heard that it was different from the book and plan on reading it soon.

If anyone here has read Eragon please read my prologue and tell me what you think. Is it really like Eragon?

Check Up: December 17, 2006

December 17, 2006

This week from December 10 to December 16, 2006 I have written approximately 3,860 words on Magic Pens and 2,030 off. This comes up to be a total of 5,890 words. For reading, I did better this week. I read The Cask of Amontillado written by Edgar Allan Poe, The Necklace written by Guy de Maupassant, and 7 chapters of The Little White Horse, written by Elizabeth Goudge. (It was like 94 pages or something.)

I plan on reading Eragon soon since a couple of people (not in Magic Pens,) have told me that my main story, The Horse From the Woods, is just like it. I watched the movie and it wasn’t anything like my story, so I hope the book is the same. If you have read Eragon, please read my story and see what you think. People are telling me that it is just the prologue.

Soarris’s Story

December 17, 2006

Click on the image to enlarge it.

This is a story that I wrote for another one of my neopet characters, Soarris. You may find it odd that there are no descriptions for the ‘creature’ but this is because he is always changing. Please visit the page that I have made for Soarris to see more about him along with more pictures I have drawn of him.

Darkness…

You wander aimlessly in a strange building as you feel the hall to your right with your hand. As you follow the long corridor, you wonder why it is so dark here. What is this place? A cold feeling bites at you as you venture deeper into the dark abyss of the building. A chill is sent through your body as you begin to tremble in both fear and cold. You feel a bit dizzy, as a strange feeling seems to linger overhead. Immediately, you feel the urge to turn back, yet curiosity drives you further.

How was this Possible?

December 16, 2006

Just two more hours of school, I thought to myself. Just two more hours. I closed my locker door shut with a metallic slam, and was surprised to see a cheerful-looking person standing beside me. With a bright smile on her face, the girl looked happy to see me, although I did not remember ever seeing her before. “Hello!” she exclaimed as her cheeks glowed red with happiness. “I’m Lindsey! Who are you?” The girl stood with an unusual posture as her back was straight up as if she had a board tied to it, and her arms lay to the side with no motion. Her head was held high with a smile that took over her face. I thought of how odd she stood with so much joy that seemed to glow in radiance around her. She looked so…happy.

Lost in this World: Chapter 6 – The Painful Chase

December 13, 2006

It was one of those times.

Lilly’s parents were caught in another argument that had driven the small child to the comfort of her corner. Her face was wet with tears and her eyes were red from continuous crying. She grasped the fur from Shep’s neck and buried her face in it. Shep did not mind this childish act, as he loved Lilly with all of his heart and he did not like to see her saddened. He was there to bring comfort to her, and to help her through the troublesome times. He felt a strange disturbance within her parents’ fights recently however. They had lasted longer, were much louder, and had sent her father storming out of the house on many occasions. Why was this, Shep thought to himself. Why did humans have to fill others with hatred and anger? He didn’t see the point.

Check Up: December 10, 2006

December 10, 2006

This week from December 3 to December 9, 2006 I have written approximately 4,120 words on Magic Pens (not including the original peice of The Lady or the Tiger which I just copy and pasted.) I also wrote about 4,000 words not on Magic Pens (roleplays) for a complete total of 8,120 words. For reading, I didn’t do as well, (I never do,) as I read one chapter of The Little White Horse written by Elizabeth Goudge and I read The Lady or the Tiger written by Frank R. Stockton about three times.

Oh, I forgot! I also read The Adventures of the Speckled Band written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
