My Submission: The Horse From the Woods – Grains of Life

June 24, 2007

The challenge with this story was that it had a 4,000 word limit and had to have an hourglass somewhere in it. This is actually a side story that branches off from my main story, The Horse From the Woods that came out to be 3,996 words, (not including this part of course.) Some new characters are here that haven’t been introduced yet, but oh well.

Reminicing over his life as he stared Death in the face, Sacariss let the excrucuatung pain sweep over his scaled body, releasing the immense amount of pride that had swelled within him. He quietly accepted his fate, knowing that he was coming to his end. He knew that he must rely his trust upon Nadia and the others. He knew that he was no longer going to be there to lead them. He had used all of his strength, but he was unable to defeat Antracius. Sacariss was still the younger brother. He was not as strong as Antracius, just as no one else was. This was the end…this was his end. Antracius had won…

Check Up: June 17, 2007

June 22, 2007

I know that I haven’t been here lately, but I have been really busy actually. I am currently writing my hourglass story and have 3,500 words which is a problem because I am not near the end yet…I don’t know what to cut out. Maybe I will post it and see what you guys think I should cut out, change, etc. Anyways, this week from June 10 to June 16, 2007 I wrote a total of 3,480 words, mainly just from my weird rant, My Thoughts, thing. So, I am definately planning to get my hourglass story posted either tomorrow or Sunday. Wish me luck!

My Thoughts: June 12, 2007

June 13, 2007

First off, I really need to write. Believe me, I want to and I hate myself for not writing, but everytime I sit down and try…nothing comes. It’s weird and it’s freaking me out, but it’s true. Nothing’s coming. I have no inspiration. I am dead. Plus I have been feeling kind of awful lately. I haven’t been getting much sleep, (it’s been a little better recently,) and I have been just a wreck on some days. Don’t ask me why…I don’t really know. I just know that for the past few nights I have just been lying in bed wide awake. I have nothing to do…I’m staring at the clock…I know that I have to get up in six hours, but sleep just never comes. Then, I get the urge to write. I plan out each word in my head, see it in print, and just want to throw off the covers, turn on my computer, and write. I would have if only I didn’t need to get up in six hours and I was actually able to stay up late and just write. That’s what I want to do…just write. I want to sit here and just write. Whatever comes to me…whatever I want. I really want to get my hourglass story published and all, but I don’t know. I will do it. I know that I will. I am the last person to back out on something like this, but I just can’t write well when I am told what to write and when I have a deadline. I have a deadline… I can’t stop freaking out about it. It was about a month away and I have been freaking out. I am nervous, I can’t write, and it’s just freaking me out…Grr, I am so frustrated right now and I just want to tell somebody. I want to, but I can’t. My friend just packed up today and of course she’ll be leaving forever…Forever. Forever is a very long time. Very long…

Check Up: June 10, 2007

June 12, 2007

I am going to skip the sappy excuses because I have none really. I am freaking out right now, am uninspired, and I feel like a wreck who hasn’t been getting a lot of sleep. Just recently though, I have been feeling better which explains the really late check up. I’ll post it after this. Anyways, this week from June 3 to June 7, 2007, I have written a lame total of 1,893 words off of Magic Pens. As for reading, I read about 5 pages of Timeline written by Micheal Crichton and The Rules of the Road about three times from cover to cover.

New Blog!

June 5, 2007

I have finally gotten around to copying and pasting all my stuff from this blog over to that other blog that I created a long time ago. You don’t ever need to go to the other one though, because it will have all of the same stuff, (except the Magic Pens stuff such as our Check Ups and T-Shirt Logo Designs,) and it is only there for back-up and for people outside of Magic Pens to read my stuff. Some of my friends and relatives have been asking to read my stuff, and I am getting very tired of e-mailing each one a copy of my next chapter.

Anyways, the blog is http://hyperwires.wordpress.com/ if you want to check it out.

Check Up: June 3, 2007

June 3, 2007

I am sorry that I haven’t been on lately…I really don’t know why, but I haven’t drawn, written, or read a lot lately. I don’t really know what I am doing with my time. Well I wake up at 7:00 every Monday through Friday and have no parents at home until 3:00, so I will have plenty of quiet-time to write on those days and I am planning to. There is no way that I will not finish my end of the year book submission. I am totally going to finish it…I just have to start… Anyways, this week from May 27 to June 2, 2007, I only managed to scribble down 890 words on Magic Pens and I only read about 5 more pages of Timeline, written by Micheal Crichton. That’s really bad and I am really ashamed of myself. I don’t know if it counts, but I also read 60 pages of a game guide. I am really hoping that I will write this week and the rest of the summer…this just isn’t turning out how I thought that it would…

Meeting Overview: May 15, 2007

May 30, 2007

There were many blue specks around the commons and theatre at Central Campus on May 15, 2007 from 3:30 to 5:oo PM due to the navy blue Magic Pens T-shirts and hoodies that were running around. Many of us came to our final end of the year meeting/party and had a great time. Chips, cookies, brownies, and muffins were brought and shared as we hung out and goofed off. After a while, Mr. Gifford came from the theatre and Randy started the actual discussion for our meeting, which actually only had one topic, the end of the year book.

Check Up: May 27, 2007

May 30, 2007

The summer had barely just begun and I found time to write 833 words off of Magic Pens from May 20, to May 26, 2007. I also found time to read 27 pages of Timeline, written by Michael Crichton, which I hope to just sit down and read some day… This was a short check up, but I’ve said what I needed to say.

Check Up: May 20, 2007

May 30, 2007

I know that I haven’t been on much lately, and I know that you all already know this and just want me to get writing already… As you might of heard from Melissa, I had a lot of art projects to catch to and they were literally taking up every waking minute of my life. That was this entire month, but now that school is over, the finals are done, and my art project is turned in, I can relax and take as much time as I would like with whatever I would like to do. I would like to apologize for my long absence, but it isn’t only Magic Pens that I have been absent from… I have rejected babysitting jobs all month, haven’t done much drawing or writing lately, haven’t played many video games, and haven’t visited my guild as often as I had. Now that school is out though, I have slowly been returning to life. It feels great to be back! From May 13 to May 19, 2007, I had written only 137 words on Magic Pens… Like I mentioned earlier, my art projects were swallowing up every second that I had.

Now onto the second word count that I missed… I promise to never entirely miss a word count…they just might be a little late. :P

Check Up: May 13, 2007

May 13, 2007

I highly doubt that I will get anything posted before the end of the year due to the immense amount of work I have and all the final exams and such that I have to study for. I am sorry to say this, but I plan to be very active this summer. This week from May 6 to May 12, 2007, I started the outline for my end of the year book submission and the beginning for Rohashi’s story. This came to be a total of 1, 823 unpublished words. I have also read another 21 pages of Timeline written by Michael Crichton. I have been so busy that I haven’t had any time to just sit and read or write and it is driving me crazy! I’ll see you all at our hang-out meeting/party this Tuesday.
