I am just thinking aloud right now…Please tell me what you think. I would like some suggestions and corrections.

End of the Year Book: Final Decisions
May 3, 2007Basically this is what we have for the end of the year book. These are now finalized.

End of the Year Book: Back Summary #1
May 3, 2007Here is what I have for the back summary so far. Please read and comment, giving suggestions, comments, fixing errors, etc.
The hourglass has been in use as early as the 11th century, usually consisting of sand that transfers from one glass to another through a narrow tube. This simple device is used to measure amounts of time reliably and is still in use today, but are there secrets of the hourglass that have not yet been discovered? Could this common item transport beings from one dimension to another or bond with the spirit of a dragon? Is it possible that the hourglass could have hidden, mystical powers? Or perhaps the hourglass is just another of the many items strewn across a desk…

End of the Year Book: Dedication Poll
May 3, 2007We need to write the dedication for the end of the year book today becuase it is due tomorrow, so please tell me who you would like to dedicate it to as soon as possible, so I can write it up!

End of the Year Book: Cover Art #1 – May 1, 2007
May 1, 2007Here is what I have so far, but remember that this is just my basic outline and I am far from done. Please help me decide on colors, and tell me how you like it so far.
With colors, I have decided to color the dragon a deep maroonish-red, but am still unsure about the stomach scales and the webbing of the wings.
Mr. Gifford, I need to know the size of the cover art that we are choosing. Are we doing a full cover picture, a medium-sized one in the middle, or a large one taking up almost the entire bottom half?

Story Idea #8
May 1, 2007Write about something that you find completely pointless in this world, or make up your own invention that serves no purpose.

End of the Year Book: Cover Art Ideas
April 29, 2007Okay, so the cover art is due like this Friday I think… I need to know some things. What do we want on it? Do you want me to do a variety of things such as the different genres on our “logo”? Should I do just one like a dragon or something? I need some ideas and I’m kind of freaking out right now due to all the work I have right now, so sorry about this messed up post, but gaah! I am really frustrated and I just want to get away from it all right now…

I got an idea now! How about this, a dragon curling around a large hourglass with space in the background and butterflies and flower petals pouring in the hourglass rather than sand. I’ll throw a quill pen in there somewhere.
How does everybody like this? Anything you want added or taken away?

I have finished the basic outline and am about to start coloring it. What colors should I use?

Check Up: April 29, 2007
April 29, 2007I would just like to say that I am not disappearing from Magic Pens, although it may look that way right now. This entire week from April 22 to April 28, 2007, I have been so busy with so much work that I have only been able to scribble down 745 words off of Magic Pens. I feel so tired as I write this due to the fact that I have not done anything “fun” since last Saturday. I am not kidding when I say that this entire week, every single day, I have woken up, gone to school, came home, did homework, and gone to bed. Even on this weekend and last Sunday, I have done nothing but homework… I have just been so swamped with work that it’s ridiculous. Well, I just finished now at 5:00, after working so long, (staying up to 3:00 in the morning on Saturday just to wake up at 10:00 today and start working again,) and am proud to declare that I have some free time! Sorry to say that I will not use this time to write…I’m just not in the mood. Right now I am so unmotivated and am just in a really cruddy, grumpy, and crappy mood, like always when I work too hard. As for reading, (for homwork, might I add,) I have read 77 pages of Great Expectations, written by Charles Dickens. Now, to do something fun…but crap. I have to draw our cover art…Let me get started on that.

Check Up: April 22, 2007
April 22, 2007This week from April 15 to April 21, 2007, I had plenty of time to write and was not very busy, yet I still didn’t get a lot done. I immediately wrote No Longer in Darkness Chapter 4 on Sunday, but found that nobody read it and commented, (Hannah did today. Thanks Hannah!) so I got really unmotivated and just didn’t write. I have a lot of art requests that I have been doing too. I drew a monkey, a lion, finished my guild’s layout, finished Mr. Gifford’s dragon, and still have to draw an elephant, horse, and swan. So, this week I wrote 3, 524 words on Magic Pens and read 72 pages from Great Expectations written by Charles Dickens. I hope that I get motivated to write this week, so wish me luck!
