After shaking the emotional thoughts from my mind, I heard a thud from the car. My head instantly glanced to the loud noise and found Mr. Gifford rubbing the back of his neck with a groan as he picked himself up from the roof of his overturned car. “What are you doing here?” he asked Isaac with a surprised look upon his face.

March 28, 2007I was given a suggestion that I should write about a hobby of mine such as drawing. I think that this might be a little odd, but I have decided that I will at least give it a try.
Drawing: to sketch or to trace figures; create a picture or depict by sketching. What exactly is the ability to draw? Why is it that some people are blessed with this ability and others are not? Is it hereditary or is it learned? Perhaps it is both…

It felt a little odd to be running with my head about a foot from the ground and my unusually lengthy forearms curving below my body past my back feet as I sprinted. March 26, 2007The administrator of the writing club, Magic Pens, that I am in, created a story using real members of our club, giving them interesting powers and abilities, and told us, (the members of Magic Pens,) to write our own versions of it. Here is mine…
Just stay calm…just stay calm… The thoughts seemed to emerge from my desolate mind into the silence of dusk as I paced down the lone highway. Keep your thoughts clear, just keep them clear. I knew that it was coming. I knew that I could not stop it. Empty thoughts…blank thoughts. Everything is fine. It taunted me in the back of my mind as the sun inched closer to the horizon far off. You’ll be safe. It’ll be all right. The horizon seemed to be the blade of a knife as I waited for night to come, for with night, death would follow. Just don’t think about it. Don’t think of the pain. I could imagine the gruesome scenes before me with my heart rate increasing. No, don’t lose control. Don’t lose control. I shook the bloody thoughts from my mind as I tried to regain control of myself. I noticed that my breathing had become sharp and quick along with each beat within my chest. Happy thoughts…happy thoughts. I could not live with this forever. I had to do something about it. What to do? What to do? I felt the shrill pain of fear bite into me along with a nagging at the back of my mind. Look at the moon…look at the moon. You must look at the moon. “No!” I screamed aloud, grasping my head within my hands. I was surprised at my sudden action and found that I had stopped walking. The sun is setting. It won’t be long now. I glanced back in the direction that I had come from, checking to see how far from the Air Force Base I had actually walked. This seems far enough. This is good. Flashing my dark eyes about, I found that I was beside a wide spread field of wheat with the empty highway to my left. “This is good,” I said aloud, confirming my thoughts. The sun is almost gone. Darkness is approaching. I knew that my mind was correct but I didn’t want to believe it. Ignoring the instinctive thoughts, I turned from the pavement, placing my tennis shoe into the wet snow of the field. It is coming…it is coming.
Meeting Overview: March 24, 2007
March 26, 2007Unfortunately, there were not a lot of members at our last Magic Pens meeting that was held at 10:30 AM, (although it started quite a bit late,) on March 24, 2007 at the Bagel Stop/Book Nook. Due to the lack of members, and the somewhat short amount of time that was available for Mr. Gifford, we did not discuss a lot of new topics, however, a few good topics were brought up. At first, each person who attended the meeting shared what they have recently been reading and what they liked about it, and then gave a short review on what they plan to write about recently. Afterwards, we discussed the following topics. If there are any mistakes in this overview, please inform me.
Enter the Forest…
March 25, 2007If you haven’t noticed already, I have redone my blog’s layout once more. After helping Melissa redecorate her blog, I felt that my old layout was a bit boring and since nobody could see my background anyways, I wanted a change. After purchasing the awesome game, Oblivion for PS3, (also available for XBOX360 and PC,) I have been in an Oblivion mood and have downloaded some awesome screenshots and beautiful title music, and decided to try out the forest screenshot for the background of my blog, just to see if it would show up. I knew that it had nothing to do with the space and dragon theme that I currently had, but I was just seeing if it would at least show up. A few minutes later, Mr. Gifford commented that he could see my background, making me very joyful. I quickly created a banner and reworded my “Continue Reading,” “Previous Entries,” “Next Entries,” and such to go with my new forest theme. I really enjoy this theme and like it a lot more than my past theme so I will most likely keep it up for a while. Right now, I am still working on the banner for there is one thing that I would like to add to it but I have to draw it first. Until then, I have a temporary banner to display. Now, I must go change the colors of my text!
Check Up: March 25, 2007
March 25, 2007This week has honestly been my worst week on Magic Pens ever. I do, however, plan to return with a lot of posts if I can, it is just that I have had so much homework, babysitting, life problems, and such lately that I haven’t had any time to do anything that I enjoy. I have not written much, read much, drawn anything, or anything else that is fun for me. I have a long list of stuff that I need to do that I haven’t had time for recently that I hope to kill this upcoming week. This week from March 18 to March 24, 2007 I have written a lame 544 words, (feel free to boo,) and have finished reading the last 48 pages of The River, written by Gary Paulsen.

March 24, 2007I have been feeling a lot better lately, (again, read the first, My Thoughts,) and I think that I may have some free time coming up. Yah! I think that I will have time to write and I may get to do some other stuff too. I still have to work on Mr. Gifford’s blog and I would like to redo mine again. This time, it shall be forest themed! 
Does my background show up this time? Well I just put it up along with Melissa’s and I don’t know if they are showing up for everybody or not. So, I have a lot of work to do…and homework.
