For some reason, for the last three or four word counts, they just haven’t been as high as they normally are. I just haven’t been…writing as much or something. I know that I have been drawing a lot more. I have been working on my neopets petpages and my websites a lot more often also. Well anyways, this week from December 31, 2006 to January 6, 2007, I have written 1,858 words on Magic Pens and 780 words off. This comes to a total of 2,638 words written. I have finished reading the last 2 chapters of The Little White Horse, by Elizabeth Goudge. I also read The Fifty-First Dragon by Heywood Broun and The Most Dangerous Game written by Richard Connel. This along with the first 4 chapters of DragonFlight by Anne McCaffrey comes out to be an okay reading total for me.

Girl Version Rewrite
January 6, 2007Well, I have decided to change my character from my Revenge story to the female gender due to the large amount of votes. I think that it would be a pretty cool idea. I will rewrite my Revenge story once again, this time thinking of the character as a girl. I need some help thinking of a name however. Here is a picture to get a vague idea of what she looks like. (Please note that I am not very good at drawing humans. Animals are my thing.)

New Blog Layout
January 4, 2007Yippee! I have finally gotten around to drawing my own layout. Now, I am not as good an artist as Jessica Peffer (the artist for my last layout,) so I admit that this layout is worse than my last, but I actually drew this one. I am very proud of myself for this accomplishment. I will be drawing new dividers and a new dragon head to the title of each post. These will all be drawn by me eventually.

January 2, 2007I have rewritten my story, Revenge, which takes place in Our World. Please tell me if this version is better than the last!
I stared intently into the frightened eyes that stared in reply. The eyes spoke of the deep fear that grew within the Qurk lying on the floor before me. He cowered as he waited for me to bring his life to an end and he shook in solicitude. My chest was heaving from the vigorous fight and sweat dripped from my forehead. My only thoughts were on the Qurk however. I held a stern face with the pride hidden inside me. I gave my victim no information through my facial expressions. I had no facial expressions. My gray eyes were empty as I held the thin blade of my sword against his neck. I was trained to be emotionless.
He slowly began to back away from me, yet I quickly used the tip of my sword to cut into his arm. He roared in pain and humiliation as he instantly grabbed his wound and scowled at me. I smiled as his pain brought me satisfaction. I wanted him to suffer, and I wanted it to last. I held my stance above the alien as I regained my breath.
As I scrutinized the alien’s face, horrible memories began to recur. Memories that I had pushed to the corners of my mind were awakening. Memories…that I had hoped would never return. I lost focus as the dreaded thoughts flashed through my mind. My countenance displayed worry and pain for a moment as I lost myself in my retention. I slightly lowered my weapon before quickly regaining my wits. I was not to let my guard down.
However, the remembrance pursued.
Improvements: January 2, 2007
January 2, 2007Alright, I am really in a writing mood and I have a feeling that says that I will be for most of this week. First off, I would like to get a few ideas about my already-written materiel. I would like feedback and suggestions that could help me. It would help to know everybody’s favorites. My two main stories currently are The Horse From the Woods (working on Chapter 2) and Lost in this World (working on Chapter 7). Don’t forget about the short stories!
I plan to rewrite Our World: Revenge to develop the character more and possibly use him in further stories. Hmm… an idea just came to me as I was typing this. Well, I am off to write!
Check Up: Decmber 31, 2006
January 1, 2007Alright, this week I was overcome with laziness. I am sorry that this is late. I seriously remembered the word count yesterday, but I thought that yesterday was Saturday! My dad brought up that today was Monday and I was like, “Oh crap!” Well anyways, this week from December 24 to December 30, 2006, I have written about 1,194 words on Magic Pens, and 1,635 words off. This is a weak total of 2,829 words. I can do better. For reading, I only read a few posts from a variety of different members. Over this Christmas Break, I was actually working on petpages and drawing pictures mostly. I shall share some with you to make up for my lack of writing!
Our World: Revenge

I glared at my victim with pride held within me. I held out my long sword, just rubbing against the Qurk’s neck. He was cowering on the floor before me, backing away from me slowly with his arms behind him. As I studied his face intensely, his eyes spoke of the fear that was held within him. I would recognize his face anywhere. He was the one. I held my stance above the alien as I regained my breath.
I wanted to make this moment last. This revenge was to be sweet.
Standing before the Qurk that I had been tracking for the past two years, memories began to return to me. Memories…that I had hoped would never return.
