Random Story Thoughts

October 26, 2007

All day I have been coming up with some ideas for some stories, so I am going to follow Mr. Gifford’s instructions and scribble a few of them down because I don’t actually have the time to write. (I have to babysit from 6:00AM-5:00PM tomorrow, and yes, that means that I can’t make it to Matt’s party.) These are all separate thoughts for separate stories and will not entirely make sense to you…

  • dragon coming out of nowhere on a drive in the middle of nowhere
  • an area that nobody ever crosses by a village
  • related can only see the ghost

    Living With Shyness

    October 22, 2007

Here was my research paper for Mrs. Nelson’s Advanced English class. My topic was shyness and everything that it is related to. Where it comes from, where it can lead to, etc.

It’s the start of another day at school and Lindsey is slouching in her desk in the back corner of her classroom, waiting for the school day to end. She hangs her head down low and avoids eye contact with other people as she quietly suffers through her fears. She doesn’t have many friends, if any at all, and she is often alone during school such as in the hallways or cafeteria and although it may seem as if she wishes to be alone, she secretly desires for a friend. Most people, however, tend to ignore the shy girl, Lindsey, actually confirming her negative thoughts that nobody likes her or wants to talk to her. Nobody tries to break through her nervous exterior to find the true person within or even pauses to greet her with a smile. No one tries to understand her, and sadly, she may not even understand herself. Shyness is not only a characteristic trait as it is related to many different medical disorders, conditions, diseases, phobias, and anxieties and can lead to many more problems in life. Before anyone can understand the diseases and phobias shyness relates to, one must first understand what shyness is and the points of its extremities with social phobia as the most extreme case of shyness. Maybe after the knowledge of shyness and its related problems has been discovered, the world will be more understanding to the strange case.

    Meeting Overview: October 20, 2007

    October 21, 2007

There were only about 10 people at the meeting that took place on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at the Bagel Stop/Book Nook at 1:00PM. Elizabeth and Sherry’s moms were there too, so they helped us come up with a few good ideas. As many of you already know, Mr. Gifford wasn’t at the meeting due to personal reasons, so I was left to speak at the meeting, along with Matt who was there a short amount of time.

    New Leap Year Story?

    October 18, 2007

All right…I was talking with my dad and subjects changed and linked on and on until we reached birthdays on September 11. We were talking about how we knew two people with a birthday then, and then went on to other strange days to have a birthday. Of course, having a birthday on February 29, the Leap Year day, came up. Just then, I explained that perhaps a person from the future had somehow set up a time-travel organization thing with Leap Year, and then burst out, (as I frequently do,) “I should write a story about it!” Sometimes I actually do end up writing the story which leads to some strange stuff that I have on my blog such as The War Had Begun.

So, I may actually think of a cool plot to go with my strange idea and actually write a story about it. That would be cool! :D

    Check Up: October 14, 2007

    October 14, 2007

Yah for me…I wrote a total of 3,628 words from October 7 to October 13, 2007, and that’s only because of the research paper for English class. :( I was so swamped with homework once again. Seriously, what is frickin’ up with this year!? Gah, I have been doing homework from 4:00 (when I get home to school,) until 10:30, (when I go to bed,) every single school night! That’s just not right…I haven’t had time for anything lately, and I am just so stressed out.

    Septia: World Map

    October 13, 2007

I’ve created a 3D model of my world, Septia, to begin with and will be drawing pictures and maps later on. These were created using FarCry’s Map Editor program. xD I will also be labelling the pictures once I think of all of the names and such. Expect many updates on this post.

    Check Up: October 7, 2007

    October 7, 2007

Once again, I was consumed with homework and I even got a new and better notebook for my handwritten Spanish dictionary for Spanish class, so I was working on converting the 80 pages of Spanish words over to the new notebook. I’ve only gotten 30 pages finished so far. Anyways, this week from September 30, to October 6, 2007, I have written only 364 words. I also read 36 pages of Timeline written by Michael Crichton.
