This week from August 26 to September 1, 2007, I have been very busy with English class, homework, school really getting started, etc., and was able to write a total of 7,238 words, not all of it on Magic Pens. Along with the writing, I read 72 pages of Timeline written by Michael Crichton.

New Year: My Thoughts
September 1, 2007I have been thinking over some ideas for this upcoming new year of Magic Pens along with everyone and here are just a few of my thoughts. I’m going off of Mr. Gifford’s list also.

REWRITE – The Fear for a Friend – A True Story
September 1, 2007This version stays focused on the main part of the action, leaving out a bit of the background story that was in the first version.
I can vividly remember one moment of my life when fear seemed to be breathing down the back of my neck, as it lingers in my memories. The fear for a friend, is one of the worst kinds of fears…

Layout: Troubles Fixed
August 29, 2007I had just logged on to Magic Pens at the school today and on my other home computer which I rarely ever use today, and found that my header picture was being cut in half. I figured out why this was happening and fixed the problem, but I would like to ask. Are there any problems with my blog? Were you viewing the header how it was supposed to be or was it cut in half for you too?
Thanks, if you comment.

My Thoughts: August 29, 2007
August 29, 2007Today for my English class, we were given the assignment to write a few non-fictional paragraphs that did not make up a story, such as our thoughts on something. The topic was for each of us to decide. Here is my piece.
It is interesting how a person can use mere words to describe the abundant amount of ideas and thoughts that linger in his mind. However he twists and uses his words is also very important and can change the way another person takes them in. When writing, one lacks the visual image and emphasis that he can add to his chosen words and is forced to carefully plan out what he wants to tell his reader.

True or False?: Answers Revealed!
August 29, 2007No one tried out my True or False? post! If you haven’t already posted your guess, please click here and try it out before reading on!

A Fortune Too Late – A True Story
August 29, 2007“You are a hard and earnest worker,” my dad read aloud, placing his uneaten fortune cookie on his plate. He’s never been fond of the small Chinese desserts.
After my dad had read his fortune, my mom and my brother soon followed. “What’s yours say, Noelle?”

Check Up: August 26, 2007
August 26, 2007This week I feel my inspiration slowly seeping back into me, although I’m not exactly sure why…Maybe this new layout is inspiring me. Anyways, this week from August 19, 2007 to August 25, 2007, I have written a meager 631 words and only read one chapter of Timeline, written by Michael Crichton. I’ll try to do better this week. I can’t wait for our next meeting and for all the new memebrs to join!

Travel the Stars!
August 25, 2007Okay, first off, please try out my True or False post before this. Once I get enough people guessing, I will post the answers.
Next, I have a new layout! Of course you’ve already noticed, but I’ve finished.
I really like the layout this time, but of course I say that every time I make a new layout, and then I get bored of it and make another one. Anyways, this layout, (if you haven’t already noticed,) is kind of space and stars themed. I’ve got the starry background with my fursona, hyperwires, jumping over my blog, somewhat shattering it or something in the header and stars all over the place. The comments are star-themed, along with the Search Button and the Search Form, and the music is Clocks by Coldplay, one of my favorite songs. There’s also some star dividers and pictures here and there…I hope that you all like it!

True or False?
August 24, 2007Today in my English class, we were messing around with hyperboles, which got me thinking…I’m going to write a bunch of sentences after this paragraph and your job is to find the 7 that are false about me. (This means that the other 13 are true.) Just comment your guesses and when I get a good amount of guesses and such, I will post the answers. Let’s see how this turns out.
